The resistance area at Croydon Fitness Centre, has a range of features and equipment to meet the needs of a wide variety of users – Weight training machines, Barbells, Dumbbells and Free Weights.
At Croydon Fitness Centre, we have two areas of resistance equipment, the first, our MAIN GYMNASIUM offers everything you could desire in a weight room. We also offer a LADIES ONLY GYMNASIUM, a non-intimidating and exclusive exercise area to increase the enjoyment of your workouts. The ladies only area includes electronic bikes and treadmills as well as a fully equipped free weight, barbell and dumbbell set-up.
For many years the weight room has been regarded as the exclusive domain of the egotistical Muscular Male. The past decade has seen a huge shift in attitudes and behaviour when it comes to weight training. The emphasis now concentrates on Body Conditioning, not Body Building. This means that, instead of spending all your time and energy on weight training on the look you want, we now use weights, or resistance training to complement and supplement other activities. For example, if your goal is to have a lean and athletic and shapely body, you’ll need to do more than just lift weights. You need the calorie-burning effect of cardio-vascular exercise, these being circuit classes, Electronic Bikes, Steppers and Treadmills.
Our qualified instructors will design a program to ensure your weight-loss, fitness and aesthetic goals are met and exceeded, but more importantly, you leave with a smile on your face.
